Innocenti 1000 with a Surprising Heart: Converted to 1275cc Carburettor Engine
This original Innocenti 1000 has a story that even surprised us. Underneath its classic exterior, it has been thoughtfully upgraded with a 1275cc carburettor engine — an engine with super high potential for performance and character. The engine runs smoothly, and the overall conversion appears to have been done with great care and precision.
The entire car has also been repainted some time ago and has suffered very little wear since, maintaining its classic charm and strong presence.
Though recently found in southern Italy, this Mini originally comes from Rome, as shown by its authentic Roman license plate. It was imported around 10 to 15 years ago by the current owners, who loved Minis and also owned a beautiful Jaguar XK120.
Over the years, the Innocenti was well cared for but unfortunately saw little use recently. Thankfully, it has been stored indoors, preserving its condition.
Now, we are excited to breathe new life into this classic Italian Mini — restoring its spirit and preparing it for new adventures.
We’re currently considering some upgrades to make this car a uniquely fast Mk3 — whether that means fitting some new rims and rally tyres, or crafting a fully classic Mk3 look. Whatever the vision, this Mini will have its own special character.
